Do these sound natural?
He has a tendency to overindulge in beer.
She reaffirmed that everything was being done.
In other words, is it true that addition of prefixes to verbs rules out non-nominal complements (for example, a clause as object or a prepositional-phrase complement)?

I am not a linguist, so I wouldn't make a guess. If you would like to submit some more examples we can say if they sound natural.
