Hello,
I wonder how vernacular is this grammar pattern.
1.We seem to have been unfair towards him.
2.The car seems to have been damaged in an accident.
3. She seems to have lost her patience.

Will these be more common?
1a. I think we were unfair towards him.
2a. It looks like the car was damaged in an accident.
3a. I think she lost her patience.

Thank you.

Both patterns of speech are common. "Seems" is less direct. "I think/It looks like" gives an opinion more directly.
