Violence as a way of achieving racial justic is both impractical and immoral. It is impractical because it is a descending spiral ending in destruction for all.

Which one is right?
because it is / a descending spiral ending / in destruction / for all.
(that means ending here is a noun. Spiral here is a adjective then.)

because it is / a descending spiral / ending in destruction / for all.
(this means ending here is a participle modifying spiral (noun))

In my opinion, the latter seems right but I'm not so sure.
I need your help.

Thank you in advance.

Hello jennie77,

Yes, your second parsing is correct.
