hello everyone! this is my first post here ;]

i have a question:

does "rushing for time" sound natural to you? like, " i can't talk now, i' m rushing for time." i have always used it, and heard people using it. but recently, someone told me it doesn't sound right. he said "rushed for time" is correct. what do you think?

Both are used but the meaning is slightly different. I think "rushed for time" is more common. Actually, I have not heard "rushing for time' but I see several examples on the Web. "Rushed for time" says, "I don't have much time and I feel the pressure."
"I'm rushing for time" means, more or less, "time is short and I am doing the best I can to catch."
