2. When sunlight goes through a/the raindrop, it [is, will be] split into seven colors.
3. I saw Paula run/running in the park this morning.
4. I see Paula run/running in the park every morning.
5. I saw you as taller. or I thought/pictured you'd be taller.
6. I hope that he finds something cheaper. or My hope is that he find(s) something cheaper.
7. As is always the case, only the strongest survive/survives.
8. I once asked him which flavor he likes/liked.

5. I saw/pictured you as taller. [I think this is an informal speech pattern.]
or I thought/<strike>pictured</strike> you'd be taller. [Ok.]
6. I hope that he finds something cheaper. or My hope is that he find<strike>(s)</strike> something cheaper.
7. As is always the case, only the strongest survive/<strike>survives</strike>.
8. I once asked him which flavor he likes/liked. ["Liked" is preferred. If you want to emphasize that he still likes the same flavor, "likes" can be used.]
