1)When i saw you i opened the door.
2)I opened the door when i saw you.
Does the first sound reasonable or not? If so, please tell me the difference between them.
Many thanks for any help.

hi and welcom first t introduce im a girl from algeria.what about u?.conserning your problem i think that u should use the past perfect to say that there is a past that was preceded by a past older, this means i saw is wrong i have seen u is the right answer because it is the action that happened first.pls write:)

Hello Liu,

Both sentences are fine.

Usually, the important information in a sentence is placed at the end. So in #1, the important information (in the speaker's opinion) is that he opened the door; whereas in #2, the important information is "when I saw you".

Best wishes,

MrP
