It’s not easy to get listening practice but Wikipedia has an archive of spoken articles – useful for this and pronunciation practice. See it at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Spoken_articles.

There are lots more good links at www.activeielts.com. (http://www.activeielts.com.)

Cheers

There are a lot of great resources available online to help with your IELTS preparation. Using online resources is a great way to learn English and prepare for the IELTS exam. I tell my ESL students to participate in forums such as this one and use the wealth of material available online. For convenience and quality, online learning is the way to go.

As far as practicing for the IELTS Listening Test, I found a great website that has podcasts with written words as well: http://www.breakingnewsenglish.com/ (http://www.breakingnewsenglish.com/)

Lastly, I have been working on tips for taking the IELTS exam. Check out my tips for IELTS preparation (http://www.private-english-tutor.com/search/label/IELTS%20Preparation) and let me know what you think!

There are a couple of really good online IELTS practice/ preparation courses but unfortunately they are paid.

This one does have a couple of free ielts sample tests to let you get a feel for what they offer. If nothing else, it's worth checking the free stuff out here:

From this page just click the free practice test button.
