Which paraphrase would you choose here?
"I must do my home work."
1. I personally feel it necessary that I do my homework.
2. I am obliged by external circumstances to do my homework.

Which paraphrase would you choose here?
"I must do my home work."
1. I personally feel it necessary that I do my homework.
2. I am obliged by external circumstances to do my homework.
1. I think this is the most common usage. There is usually some urgency to it.
2. Must, meaning obligation, is used formally. When it comes to homework, you are most likely to hear "have to."
I don't know how to define "my variety of English." It is a mixture.
