Are correct these sentences or only the first one?

- The address on the letter was wrong.
- The address of the letter was wrong.

Hello Jesus,

I would expect to hear #1 much more often than #2; but I wouldn't be very surprised to hear #2.

"Adress" > "address", by the way!
