I am looking for a word

that refers to the songs that are sung by other singers who

sings the original songs.

Don't think so, but it might be so, from duplicate.
I don't know that business.

The word "dupe" doesn't sound at all right to me.

I'm not really up on the field of popular music either, so some others may have better suggestions than mine, but several words that come to mind are:
- remake
- rendition
- rendering

(all followed by something like the phrase: "of the popular Beatles song …")

A musical group that performs only renditions of music that was done originally by a single other group is called a tribute group for the original group.

To cover is to make the kind of recording you are describing. Such a recording is a cover version (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cover_version).
