" This belief was my inspiration for a new version, which I hope you will enjoy as much as I enjoyed creating it."
In this sentence, is "creating it" the object of "enjoyed" or participle phrase?

I think "creating" can be seen as the object and meaning "the act of creating it."

I am of the same opinion, so creating is a gerund here. Because the speaker can't possibly be so immodest as to declare he enjoys his own version, can he?
Technically, though, we could regard it as a participle, the syntax permits it.

Immodesty does not render a sentence ungrammatical.
And yes, creating is the participle with it as its direct object. (Gerunds are nouns, and do not take objects.)
Here are uses of the gerund:
I enjoyed the creating. (taking pleasure in the work)
I enjoyed the creating of it. (enjoyment of making the item)
I enjoyed the creating of my new version. (pride in producing the finished product)
I enjoyed my creating it. (a bit formal, but definite self-satisfaction)
