Seems to be a play/joke:
he would like to embrace her/him (hold her/him close to his body, against his body)
but show more context.

Yes, it is a little play on words with the phrase hold against as opposed to just the word hold.
There is a song with a line which has much the same sense and play on the same words:
If I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me.
