take turns (=do something in turn, alternate)
We took turns at sleeping and watching.
Take turns throwing the dice

We take turns to answer the phone.
They took turns to look after the baby.

Is it okay to use both " ~ing form" and "to infinitive" after take turns?
Is there any difference between them?

Thank you in advance.

Both OK.

As a matter of fact, I was surprised by the low hits for the first in published books:

7 on "took turns to answer"
http://books.google.com/books?q=%22took+turns+to+answer%22&btnG=Search+Books

284 on "took turns answering"
http://books.google.com/books?q=%22took+turns+answering%22&btnG=Search+Books

Also, yes, the meaning can be different:

to answer: shows the purpose of taking turns
answering: took turns while performing the action of answering, in the course of that

but can overlap in some contexts.
