He did something to get me angry.

Could this sentence ever mean:
He did something that got me angry. (This one leaves open the possibility that he did not intend to get me angry.)

No, for me. It implies intention.

People throw cans and bottles on the roadside which gets me angry. I am sure their intent is not to get me angry.

Thanks Bridget, Marius and Rusty.

I have another question here:

I have brought something to scare Jeff.

Doesn't this mean that I want to scare Jeff?

It may mean that you intend to scare him, but it could also mean that you know it will scare him yet you are not bringing it with the intention of scaring him.

Similar:

I'm gonna tell Jeff that the boss is coming round to check his accounts. That'll scare him.
I have to tell Jeff that the boss is coming round to check his accounts. I know it will scare him, but what can I do? He should be warned.

Thanks Bridget,

With all due respect, it seems that you are contradicting your first reply (this is not to say that there is nothing wrong with that... You have every right to change your mind).

If
2-I brought something to scare Jeff.
doesn't necessarily imply that I had the intention to scare Jeff, I guess
1-He did something to get me angry.
doesn't necessarily imply the he wanted to get me angry,

I am not nitpicking. This is just a question. Maybe there is something I am missing here,

Yes, there's intent in this one.

No, I'll stick with what I said, thanks. Not all sentences are equal or have the same intent. Context, my friend, changes much.

There was no offense intended, Bridget. I just thought you might have made a mistake. It happens to tbe best of us. I also considered the possibility that I had missed something.
