Continual rain ruined the crop.


These 3 adjectives look the same to me.

I wonder if any can fit in the sentence.

would work, meaning "continued from the last days", but would be rare.

Continued rain ruined the crop. (Doesn't fit this sentence).
Continue (intransitive verb) The rain continued.
Continue (transitive verb) The rain was continued -- by whom?
