Does this sentence make sense?

Fail is an active verb in this sentence.
In the original sentence, "She should be failed for the test," fail is a passive verb. One of the definitions for the transitive verb, fail, is: to give (a student) a failing grade. The problem in the original sentence, IMO, is the preposition for. She was failed for her answers, not for the test. Prepositions in or on would work.
