Hello,

Could you tell me which is correct,please?

A) She won the competition. She had been practising for several months.

B) She won the competition. She had practised for several months.

Both are correct. Use (A) - past perfect continuous - to emphasize the continuing, ongoing nature of the practice.

Use (B) - past perfect - to emphasize practice as a single activity that takes place over a period of time and in this case was done before the competition.
