can hair be singular and plural?
Some of your hair are black and some of your hair are grey.
Your hair is so dry.

If you speak of your hair in general, collectively, then, yes, it can be singular, as in your last sentence using 'is' as the verb.
Your hair is blonde. (speaking about all your hair)
If you speak of bits/some of your hair, then, yes, it can be plural, as in your last first and second sentences using 'are' as the verb.
Some of your hair is brown. (you are talking about some hair, making it plural).
