Hi,

I read this grammar rule, and I wonder if this is correct. Can you please help me.

Grammar Rule: Transitional words can also be used to connect between two independent clauses of a compound sentence. A semicolon always precedes connectives that below to this group.

Can you please give me some transitioanal words and sentences that use the said words the rule above referring to.

Thank you so much in advance!

In the second sentence of your rule, "below" should be "belong"; however, it is a good rule and this sentence is an example.

Other connective words that can be used this way include "next", "then", and "moreover". These words can also begin new sentences as well as later independent clauses in one sentence.
