Hi,
Please check these sentences and correct them.
1. (Being) Unable to type, he hired me.
2. (Being) Unable to type, I was fired.
3. Mr. Ford, would you be able to have the report completed by 3 PM today?
4. What's up? You have a long face. / I had a car accident this morning, and I lost my wallet, too. / I'm sorry. It's not your (lucky) day.
5. I caught him taking a peek/peep at the woman's shower (room). He was peeking/peeping through the keyhole.
6. I caught him peeking/peeping at the woman's shower (room).
7. I don't discern/know/tell/distinguish a hawk from an eagle.
8. It is hard to discern/know/tell/distinguish flatterers from friends.
9. Elizabeth II was crowned in 1953. [How do we pronounce/say 'Elizabeth II'? Elizabeth two, second Elizabeth, or the second Elizabeth?]

(Also OK: I caught him at the door peeking in)

(Natural: I don't know a hawk from an eagle.
I can't discern/tell/distinguish a hawk from an eagle).
8. It is hard to discern/know/tell/distinguish flatterers from friends. (OK. the most common is "tell").
9. Elizabeth II was crowned in 1953. [How do we pronounce/say 'Elizabeth II'? Elizabeth two, <strike>second Elizabeth, or the second Elizabeth?</strike> or Elizabeth the second).]

(The ship named, "Elizabeth II" is called Elizabeth two. The queen is more often called "Elizabeth the second").
