Hellow Teachers.

The reduced sales tax and ____ property tax are indicative of the

overall softening in the local econony.

1- declining 2- declined

Which one is right? I think declined would be the answer.

But my matirial says the anwere is decling. I don't understand.

And another question is the difference of below, under, and beneath.

Please explain to me.

Thank you for learning English through English page.

(Declining sounds right to me, meaning that the tax is going down.
You can say that something has declined, but not that it is declined.
If the tax has finished declining you'll need a different word: decreased, reduced, lowered).

And another question is the difference of below, under, and beneath.
(Dictionaries give these words as synonmys. They are generally interchangeable).
