"Could you please tell me the meaning of the idiom out of courtesy?"
Hi,
Let's say you go to a grocery store and come out of it holding some bags full of groceries; they look heavy and, out of courtesy, someone helps you to carry some of the bags to your car. He simply saw an opportunity to help you and he did it. He is corteous.
Plin.
