Hi,
Please check if these sentences are correct and natural?
1. In the beginning everybody felt sorrow/sorrowful for him, but soon his presence started to annoy them. [I think 'sorrow' is much more common because it is short. Am I right?]
2. He felt fear/fearful when anybody got close to him. [I think 'fear' is more common because it is short. Am I right?]
3. John felt fear and horror watching/seeing the scene.
4. I felt rage/fury/furious over/for/with [being, having been] molested/humiliated.
Thanks a million.
Ann

p.s. Happy for you both returning, especially that Rusty is all right - no damage!

1. In the beginning everybody felt sorrow/sorrowful for him, but soon his presence started to annoy them. [I think 'sorrow' is much more common because it is short. Am I right?] (The word that is commonly used is "sorry." They felt sorry for him).
2. He felt fear/fearful when anybody got close to him. [I think 'fear' is more common because it is short. Am I right?] ("He felt afraid" is natural).
3. John felt fear and horror watching/seeing the scene. (OK).
4. I felt rage/fury/furious over <strike>/for/with</strike> [being, having been] molested/humiliated. (Rage and furious are more common than fury).
