2-1. I know of him as a genius.
2-2. I know him as a genius.
2-3. I know that he is a genius.
2-4. I know he is a genius.

2-1. I know of him as a genius. (Unnatural)
2-2. I know him as a genius. (Not as common as: I know him to be a genius).
2-3. I know that he is a genius. (Preferred).
2-4. I know he is a genius. (OK).
