4. Secretary of State Colin Powell is going to undergo surgery for prostate cancer tomorrow.
5. A strong earthquake shook [northern, north of] Morocco early on Tuesday, killing at least 40 people and injuring dozens of others/people around the Mediterranean port city of Al Hoceima.
6. The University of North Carolina at Wilmington may have to shut down the world's only underwater research lab because of budget cuts/cut to a program that helps pay for [it]. [What does "it" indicate?]
