I think that the best way of studying English is to go to England and study there or just live there as long as possible!!! When I was in London, I studied there. A when it was a week of my being there, I already started to think on English. Actually, I'm from Russia. So, Good luck!!!

Hi everybody here..

First and foremost, I think that the best way to learn English is to practise English with people especially with native speakers. Having a friend who can speak English fluently is a good idea. Also, I believe that reading can develop your English a lot.

I wish the best for u all..

I think the best way to learn english is to attend an english University. There are different English Universities across Europe. However some can get pretty expensive. My University in Poland is rather cheap when it comes to tuition, and it's an american University so you get an american bachelors.

If you want more information you can email me or post here once more. :) Hope this helps!!

i think learning english is 3-4 years process!
learning english is not just speaking good so you should can write , read , understand either!
going to english Lang countries and talk to native english spoken is a greate idea but it is not possible for anyone so the best way is that to take english class and if is not possible for you too, i think the best way is that to chose one series book about english and complete that !
it is important to complete one series at least

I watch American DVD's every weekend for comprehension, to hear the slang and language they don't have in the textbooks. For my speaking, I use a service called http://www.practicephone.com because I need to reduce my Algerian accent and feel less nervous when I'm speaking.

I prefer this method because I do it by phone and my husband prefers this!:)

good job guys..you have set really beneficial and various ways but i think putting many methods in front of you makes it more difficult to choose and of course you are not going to use them all because this will distract you and you will waste time and efffort and come up with nothing...you must first organize yourself by setting a time for you(30 min. daily,e.g.)depending on your resposibilities...choose one website and continue visiting it daily to follow up with the new lessons and posts and this will keep you relaxed and focused instead of moving and jumping from one site to another because, from my experience, this would make things just more difficult.

The best way is to have an educated native speaker who will converse with you and correct you. Most trained ESL teachers are extremely good, too.The best way to learn to speak a language is to speak it, the best way to learn to read it is to read it, and so on. But in my opinion, the best starting place is to learn it orally, If you read first, you will fix the wrong idea of the sounds in your mind. This is difficult to rectify.

It's also crucial to learn new vocabulary regularly and it's really important to learn good spelling as well, which might be quite difficult and time consuming. What helps me a lot is this little program: http://pfquizzz.4fips.com ,which allows me to practise my vocabulary (a couple of minutes a day is quite enough). You might find it useful as well...

Unfortunately, there is no BEST way to study English that works for everyone, but I think that your motivation will help you find the BEST way for YOU! Good luck!

Some recommendations

Study English that is immediately useful for you. The English you learn will be it's own reward. This will help you to stay motivated and to enjoy English.

Study English that is interesting to you. No surprises here!!!

Set mini goals. Goals that are too hard or take a long time can be discouraging. Try to make lots of mini goals that help you finish big goals. Minigoals help you to keep a record of your progress!

Make use of Online English Resources.
Youtube is great for English videos from all over the world. Podcasts are also great online resources for learning English! These methods will help your English listening, but not your fluency.

Try speaking English with native speakers whenever you can. This is great for improving your English speaking skills.

Try to get an English "pen pal". Writing in English can help your English accuracy.

Take English Lessons! I have to warn you I am an English teacher:eek:, so I am biased in this last one!!! Taking English lessons will force you to do regular study and it will give you a chance to get immediate English feedback. This is also useful for English fluency.

I hope this helps you. Goodluck with your studies!

The Internet is going to be your best friend. It is packed full of resources, reading materials, sound recordings, and so much more that can help you learn the meaning of the words that you read and speak.
