Sir,
I love playing cricket.
I love to play criket.
What is difference in meaning?
Thanks.

In this case, no real difference in meaning; a slight difference in emphasis. The one with "playing" is more concrete; it puts more emphasis on the activity of playing; you enjoy the games themselves.
The one with "to play" is a bit more abstract. The emphasis is that you love something, which happens to be the playing of cricket.
Certainly both sentences describe the same basic feeling.

IMHO;
a. What is your favorite sport? / I love [playing, to play] cricket.
b. What would you like to do this weekend? / [I'd like/love, I want] to play cricket.
Am I right?

Yes; I agree that the options you gave sound correct.
