Hello teachers!
Would you please tell me if I can use these with basically the same meaning?

1-1. A golden key opens every door.
1-2. Money makes the mare go.
1-3. Money talks.

2-1. Let's meet halfway.
2-2. Let's go for a golden mean.
2-3. Let's go for the happy medium.

(I would say that these all have the same basic meaning, although I have never heard 1-2).

2-1. Let's meet halfway.
2-2. Let's go for a golden mean.
2-3. Let's go for the happy medium.
(2-2 and 2-3 say the same thing. They both mean that we are cooperatively trying to attain some middle point in a joint effort. 2-1, on the other hand, means that we are each coming from a different (literal or figurative) direction).
