hi !
well, i think that the best way to learn english is to live in an english-speaking country. listennig to english-speaker, talking to english-speaker and not using your own language is a great way to improve your english. i am an afs exchange student in the usa, for a year. my english is still very bad, but way better than earlier. you should go on the AFS website, www.afs.org, the cost of a year abroad is very expensive, but you can find help with afs.
well, i think i told u all what i know.
i hope you'll succeed to do what you want to.
bye

I know that the best way is spending some period of time in English speaking country. When we don't have a moyen, what can we do? I can't suggest any methode because me,I can't say out lourd that I speak well english. A methode that I try everyday is listening radio, reading as much as possible.

I think any method will do : courses, self-study, meeting natives, corresponding with pen-friends, listening to the BBC (World Service, for instance), watching that channel, reading books made-easy by Oxford University Press, Penguin Books, Cambridge University Press (with different levels of knowledge), talking to or writing to people with a common interest but in English, participate to conversation tables in training centres, etc. As long as YOU are motivated and make the efforts necessary to improve your skills ...
I have been doing this since I was 13. I lived in South Africa for 5 years. I'm now 52 and I enjoy teaching English and Dutch in a vocational training centre and my trainees appreciate my knowledge of English. I have a 22-year-old daughter who studies History at university. She had English at secondary school, stayed twice for 2 weeks in England during summer holidays (half-day courses, half-day living with an English family) when she was 16 and 17. Has no problem at all with English at university level this year. She will get her degree next year, normally. Speciality : Antiquity. She had to learn ancient Greek last year and she passed the exam ! 8)

That's the most popular question of all time: (What's the best way to learn a language?)
Well, actually, the question "Why?" is probably more popular.
And, "What are you doing?" is probably more popular, too.
And, ...
anyways...
Here's my answer:

Hey I think that the best way to continue learning english is to study at an English University. I study in an american university that gives the american bachelors upon graduating in Poland. We have many many people from China, from Canada, the US and of course other european countries. It's an awesome way to get to know the language and meet other people that know the language very well.
The recruiting department would help with getting a student visa, and the tuition is not expensive at all. I can give you some help if you want, but you'll have to get in touch quick as I'm graduating soon and gone for the summer. :)
Cheers!

Comprehensive reading is a big help in learning English! Some university degree online (http://aboutonlinedegree.org/) offers english courses, usually people from other country like Portugal, China are studying there..

The Internet is going to be your best friend when learning english (http://www.englishlink.com). It is packed full of resources, reading materials, sound recordings, and so much more that can help you learn the meaning of the words that you read and speak. Also another tip is to record yourself when you speak English. After you are finished recording, play it back and see what you sound like. If you are not clear, then you can simply try again. This is a great way to see how others hear you.
