Which is the correct expression, singular or plural?

1. The art teacher said to me, "You must use your imagination/imaginations."
2. I tried to understand it by using all my imagination/imaginations.

Imagination is the correct expression.

Because each person has an individual imagination, I'd say, "You all must use your imagination." I don't think it is necessary to say, "your own imagination").
