Hi,
Which is the correct choice in these sentences, 'nor' or 'or'?

1-1. He has never confirmed nor/or denied stealing it.
1-2. He has never been a police officer nor/or a firefighter.
I think in these sentences 'or' is more common in everyday speech, but 'nor' is correct. Am I right?

2-1. He has neither confirmed nor/or denied stealing it.
2-2. He is neither a police officer nor/or a firefighter.
2-3. He is neither eating nor/or sleeping to protest low wages.
I think only 'nor' is correct and used in these sentences. Am I right?

Thanks in advance.

-- I once saw a "rule of thumb" that your examples illustrate: You can safely reserve the use of nor to cases that pair it with neither, and you will not be wrong. Although there are other places where nor is not incorrect, the alternative or is correct and common in those places.
