Lo everyone! newbie alert :?
What would be the correct formulation of a sentence for the following situation:
Joe and I went fishing
or
Me and Joe went finshing
or
Joe and me went finshing ?
Joe and I seems correct, but is there an occasion when either of the others would be so?
Thanks
Chris

Joe and I went fishing (Hello Newbie: This is the correct one).
or
Me and Joe went finshing (No. Me is in the objective case. You need the subjective case (I). You would not say, "Me went..." Also, when you speak of yourself and somebody else, you put their name first. "Joe and I").
or
Joe and me went finshing ? (No. Same reason).
"Joe and me" is correct when used as an object. Example: He went fishing with Joe and me. The preposition "with" is followed by the objective case. He showed Joe and me a good fishing spot. The verb "showed" is followed by the objective case).
