Is it OK to say, I had a "tiring" day as opposed to a "tiresome" one?

Is it OK to say, I had a "tiring" day as opposed to a "tiresome" one?
(It's OK, but the meaning is slightly different. Tiring means that you became tired. Tiresome means that the day, itself, was boring, wearying).
