Dear teacher, it is a long time I haven't written to you.
Today, I 'd like to askfor your correction of my following essay, I remind you that it is an essay. So, please show me if it is a good essay or what should I change with it. I hope to receive your reply soon, because I have to hand it in 3 days later, Thank you very much!

My green Hanoi in 2000s

Environment protection in Hanoi, like in many other places, is one of the most burning issues, which need the care and participation of everyone, of the whole public.
First of all, I wish to tell some fact about the environment of the capital, which includes both the good and the bad aspects. Here are the positive ones. I am glad to see that, recently, more new parks are opened all over the city, which are good places for relaxation and rest. Besides, more regulations and rules have been applied in order to protect the environment in Hanoi more effectively, for example, the ban against dusty construction sites or the transportation of sand and stone in un-covered lorries.
However, there are still some hard nuts to crack. First, I would say about the water source pollution. Indeed, the water sources used for Hanoian daily life are being polluted day by day due to many reasons; one of which is that the sewage discharged from factories and residental areas runs directly to lake and river. Tolich is a sample of this sad situation; it cannot keep its traditionally torquoise colour due to being severely polluted.
If you have a chance to walk along the Hong river dyke one day, you will be surprised by huge piles of rubbish located there. And you can, occasionally, realize opalescent lines of sewage, which are running out to Hong River. Can Hong River sustain this for along time?
Going sightseeing in the old quarter streets is really exciting, but how can you endure the smoky air here at rush hours. Actually, it is very disgusting to endure that stuffy, noisy and harmful atmosphere there, especially in a hot summer afternoon.
So, what are solutions to all these problems in Hanoi? In my opinion, there are many measures that can be carried out at ease; and the most effective ones should aim at awareness and action of the whole public. The task of environment protection should be socialized.
The first solution is to plant more trees that are both indoors and outdoors. When one's house look cleaner and environmentally friendlier, they will take more care of the common environment. Besides, why should not more trees be planted along newly made roads and streets, it is really nice to walk, ride or drive along such roads as Phan Dinh Phung, Quang Trung because of their beautiful rows of big trees along.
Secondly, to protect the environment, it is necessary to raise people's sense of responsibility to this public task. Basically, everyone should know well and follow the instruction that rubbishes to be thrown away at right places and right times. In these campaigns, the youth play an important role. Many voluntary programs raised by students have been carried out around Hanoi, and to me, they are always useful and helpful.
Moreover, children should be educated to love Nature since their early age. It quite simple to show a child the loveliness of a flower, the beauty of a big old tree or a paddy field.
By the way, I also wish to tell a story of a man who has been very active in environmental programs of my hometown village of Laduong, Hoaiduc, Hatay province He was the first man to put forward a measure to purify the polluted village pond by planting "ngo" grass, a fauna species that grows in mud and pond. I really like his work, my uncle's work.
In conclusion, I wish to say that protecting the environment is not a new task, but it is still one of the most important tasks now and later. To put an end to this writing, I would like to cite some excerpt from the poem "Tieng choi tre" or "The sound of bamboo broom" by the famous poetic To Huu:

"Flower, please remember
The one who wiped rubbish last night

The sound of bamboo broom
Dawn and dusk
Keep clean way
And nice road
My younger sister."

Hello Tuan Anh: I will correct the errors I see in grammar. Perhaps Pete will comment on the content of your essay and make any corrections that I missed.

My Green Hanoi in the 2000s (Capitalize the main words in a title).

Environment protection in Hanoi, like in many other places, is one of the most burning issues, which need the care and participation of everyone, of the whole public.
First of all, I wish to tell some facts about the environment of the capital, which includes both the good and the bad aspects. Here are the positive ones. I am glad to see that, recently, more new parks are open/have been opened all over the city, which are good places for relaxation and rest. Besides, more regulations and rules have been applied in order to protect the environment in Hanoi more effectively. For example, the ban against dusty construction sites or the transportation of sand and stone in uncovered lorries. (No hyphen in uncovered).
However, there are still some hard nuts to crack. First, I would <strike>say</strike> talk/speak about the water source pollution.

The first solution is to plant more trees that are both indoors and outdoors. (Indoors means inside houses. Perhaps you mean in both private courtyards/lawns and public places).
When one's house looks cleaner and more environmentally friendly, they will take more care of the common environment. Besides, why should not more trees be planted along newly made roads and streets? It is really nice to walk, ride or drive along such roads as Phan Dinh Phung and Quang Trung because of their beautiful rows of big trees <strike>along</strike> .
