Hi,
Would you please tell me if these sentences are correct and natural?
1-1. This is a beautiful spring wildflower found on the east/eastern coast of England.
1-2. This is a beautiful spring wildflower found on the coast of east/eastern England.
2-1. The animals live on the south/southern coast of Iceland.
2-2. The animals live on the coast of south/southern Iceland.
Thanks a million.

I'm less helpful on these. I think all of them are probably correct, but I'm not sure whether or not the forms with "east" and "south" would sound natural in those places. I would imagine that a term like "east England" is natural only if it is commonly used to describe a particular part of the country.

I'm pretty certain that the forms with "eastern" and "southern" are OK.

Maybe if we have readers more familiar with those areas, they can help.
