1) Are you at church/at work now?
- Is this sentence right? [It sounds fine.]
2) Does anyone know who this car belongs to?
- Is this sentence right? [Yes. In extremely formal writing, some people would prefer, "Does anyone know to whom this car belongs." Others would think that sounded too formal and not natural.]
3) He talks about them behind their backs.
- Does this sentence mean: he <strike>talks</strike> says bad things about them behind their backs? [Probably the things he says are bad/uncomplimentary, but this doesn't say so. He possibly says good things but there is some reason he doesn't want them to know he says them.]
4) Head off to work. ( What does this sentence mean? ) [It means leave and go to the place where your job is.]
