1. The film's idea met with favourable conditions and was soon acclaimed as [the (best/most) ticket-selling/the most-seen] movie of the month at theatres.
I can't tell exactly what this is supposed to mean. Try:
- The film received favorable reviews and was soon acclaimed as the highest grossing movie of the month at theaters.
Or maybe:
- The film's premise struck a chord with audiences and it was soon acclaimed …

2. Getting through exams at the university is not a piece of cake unless you set to it conscientiously. I know because I learnt it the hard way. [The idiom "a piece of cake" is fine, but it is informal.]
3. The policeman has been indicted on acting beyond his [XcapacitiesX] authority during the arrest procedure.
4. After being dismissed from the Ministry of Finance he served in an advisory capacity in/to the McMillan Bank. [OK.]

Hi,

> 4. After being dismissed from the Ministry of Finance he served in an advisory capacity in/to [the] McMillan Bank. [OK.]

Q1. Can we use 'the' in the name of a bank?
Q2. Can I rephrase this into
1. After being dismissed from the Ministry of Finance, he served in an advisory group [in, to, of] McMillan Bank.
2. After being dismissed from the Ministry of Finance, he served as an advisor [at, in, of] McMillan Bank.

Thanks in advance.

1. Yes; it seems to depend on the name of the bank. The following seem like the most natural statements. (Both of these are real local banks.):
- I have an account at the Bank of Virginia.
- I have an account at Citizens and Farmers Bank.

2. Both of your sentences sound fine to me.
