Dear Teacher,

1) He has gone out of his way to be kind to my son.

-What does the sentence “ He has gone out of his way” mean?

2) She eventually worked up some nerve.

-What does this sentence mean?

3) I have no idea he’s all about.

-What does this sentence mean?

4) She’s by far the most wonderful woman.

-What does “ by far” mean in this sentence?

-- He has done extra things that he didn't have to do.

2) She eventually worked up some nerve.

-What does this sentence mean?
-- She eventually gained confidence.

3) I have no idea he’s all about.

-What does this sentence mean?
-- I do not know what his motivation is. I don't know why he does the things he does.

4) She’s by far the most wonderful woman.

-What does “ by far” mean in this sentence?
-- "By far" means that not only is she more wonderful than other women, but she is a great deal more wonderful than other women.
