Hi everybody. I have read the following sentence on BBC website:

" Carbon dioxide rose so much that the oceans warmed to a depth of about 3,000m"

Can I use "however" in this sentence ? Are there other structure to say "so much that" in this sentence.

No, however much does not sound right.

" Carbon dioxide rose to so high/to the extent/ to such a level/that the oceans warmed to a depth of about 3,000m"
