Hello, everyone.

Is the sentence below grammatically correct and does it make sense?

On a rainy day umbrellas sell well.

The reason I am asking you this question is because I feel the thing(s) that “sell(s) well” should be a definite one or definite ones, not a thing or things in general.

Any comment would be appreciated.

Best regards,

On a rainy day umbrellas sell well.

The sentence is grammatically correct and it means "On a rainy day umbrellas, in general, sell well."

There are many types of umbrellas--- large, small, colourful, etc.
