Please, replace the incorrect pronoun in each sentence with a correct pronoun.

1. The portraits who hang on our walls are mostly of our daughter.
2. There is one of a man whose name I do not know, which we purchased because it reminded us of our favorite school principal.
3. Look at the silhouette which is hanging in the upstairs hall.
4. Of all the portraits of our daughter that are hanging in the house, this is the one I think looks most like her.

1. The portraits <strike>who</strike> (that/which) hang on our walls are mostly of our daughter.

a "portrait" is a thing.
"who" is only used for people.

The rules for when to use "that" and when to use "which" differ. Some say to use "that" with restrictive (necessary) clauses and to use "which" with unrestrictive (unnecessary, perhaps in subordinate) clauses. In that case, you would use "that" here. However, both are accepted.

2. There is one of a man whose name I do not know, which we purchased because it reminded us of our favorite school principal. (OK... This could be rewritten to make the antecedent of "which" more clear.)

3. Look at the silhouette which is hanging in the upstairs hall. (OK. "That" might be preferable according to the rule I stated above.)
4. Of all the portraits of our daughter that are hanging in the house, this is the one I think looks most like her. (OK)
