I've heard two different pronuciations of it: new `Orlin, and new or`Lin.
Which one is English?

I wonder if you are aware that "Orleans" is actually French and pronounced something like as "Oo-lee-onn". How the Americans pronounce it is far from the correct pronunciation, so why give a hoot about how they mess it up?

Yes, there are several ways to pronounce New Orleans.
New Or - lins and New Or - leens are the most common Anglicized ones. There are French descendents called Cajuns in Louisiana, who would use the French pronounciation. They would also use the French word for "New." (I use "would" because I am making an assumption).

As a former resident of New Orleans, let me add a few more possible pronunciations to the list :D
An unknowing outsider would say:
New 'Or-lee-ins
The locals might say:
N'awlins
New 'Awlins (the W and A glide together)
