1) "Tom was my foreman but he is not any more."
2) "Dick was my foreman but he no longer is."
3) "Tom is not any more my foreman than Dick is."

3) "Tom is not any more my foreman than Dick is." (This is grammatically OK, but the usual way to use this expression is to say something ridiculous to make your point. Example: Tom is not any more my foreman than a duck is.

"Tom is not any more my foreman" means that "Tom was once my foreman but not at present." Right?

Tom is not any more my foreman than Dick is.

The above sentence is the same as, "Tom is not any more my foreman than Dick is (not any more my foreman)" Right or wrong?

Now, I refer to a sentence with a similar construct in another thread.
"A whale is not any more a fish than a horse is." = "A whale is not any more a fish than a horse is not anymore a fish."

"Any more" or "anymore" doesn't stand before complements.

Google will give you:You are not any more/anymore young. 2+0=2 (these two pages are written by Japanese persons)
You are not young any more/anymore. 105+761=866

BTW, how many hits will Google give you for "I'll bought you a camera when I get paid."? There would have been at least one more if not for me. Care to deny that?

I guess you are talking about some pasting mistakes I made previously when I answered to some people. But what does it matter with this thread? Here I told you just a bit of my knowledge about the usage of "any more", because you were asking us to comment on your usage of "any more".
