Dear teachers.

The sentence I struggle to understand now is as follows:

Each copy would be indistinguishable from the original, as would each copy of a copy.

In this sentence... is the inversion necessary here?
Can you please tell me the whole sentence (without any omission) and the principle of the inversion of this sentence?

Always thanks~!!!

The inversion isn't necessary. I think that using the unusual word order simply gives extra emphasis to the idea. The concept being explained in the sentence is a bit of a surprise, since with older technology, we frequently had copies of copies that were very poor (hard to read, with paper; hard to understand, with recordings). A full sentence might be:
- Each copy would be indistinguishable from the original, as each copy of a copy would (also) be indistinguishable from the original.
