"He was being famous 2 hours."

"He was being the leader of the races 2 hours."

"He was famous for 2 hours."
"He was the leader of the races for 2 hours."
"To be" changes its meaning to "behaving" when used in the continuous ("being") form. "He was being bad," means "He was behaving poorly."
Also, when you talk about how long something lasts, use the preposition "for." -- "He rode his bike for two hours." "We watched TV for 30 minutes."

Thank you for the answer.
Putting the examples with "being" I tried to emphasis duration taking into account the use of "being" in sentences like
"Being the manager of the firm, he implemented some new decisions"
where the sense of the participle is another than just "behaving", but I see that my trying was not successful :-)
And one question more: can exact time marks be used in sentences like
"He was the leader of the races from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m. "
"From 9 a.m. till 11 a.m. he was the leader of the races."
or it is more correct to say
"He was the leader of the races 2 hours, from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m. ." ?
