Hi,

I have some questions from the following:
'Bean currently resides in London where he enjoys raising his beautiful daughters, his beloved football, and the occasional pint.'

Is 'occasional pint' wine?

What's the difference among wine, liquor and spirit?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance.Pint is a reference to a glass of beer. Spirits is the general word for all alcoholic beverages. We would consider it formal, legal, or quaint, so it's not in the general speaking vocabulary, although everybody knows and uses the word. Wine is fermented spirits, usually from fruit, commonly grapes. Beer is fermented from various grains. Liquor is whiskey, or distilled spirits, that starts as fermented grain or another vegetable source (cactus, potato) before being refined and concentrated.
