Sentence check

Are these sentences OK:
- Turn off that light.
- Turn off those lights.
- Turn off those 2 lights. (we can count "light" here, right?)
- Motion pictures have broadened people's awareness and lifestyle.
- I hate to lend him things because he never remembers to give back.

All the sentences seem okay to me except for the last one which would be better written as:-
"- I hate to lend him things because he never remembers to return them."

Or, ...to give them back.
