Dear Teachers and Friends,
a. I don’t think he does it to hurt me but it does. So is that all that counts?
- “is that all that counts” means “is that all that need to be cared about”, right?
b. Are “Yo!” and “what’s up?” the same meaning with “hi!” or “hello!”? and are they still common and polite to say?
Thanks very much

- “is that all that counts” means “is that all that needs to be cared about”, right? (Yes, or, "Is that all that matters?").
b. Are “Yo!” and “what’s up?” the same meaning with “hi!” or “hello!”? and are they still common and polite to say?
(Yo might be called "youth slang." It can mean "Hi" or "Hello." There is a lot more about it here (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=yo). I think it is common in some circles. It would be considered very casual, and not impolite, but "polite" would not describe it either.
