Hello,
just a brief question: is it a legitimate contact clause if you write: "School is the place we learn at." ("the place at which we learn") instead of "the place where we learn"?
And would you have to say "study" first of all instead of "learn"?
Cheers!

The place at which we learn is fine. The place we learn at sounds clumsy at best, and unschooled at worst. You will not please your teachers with style this poor.

P.S.--It is not grammatically wrong; it is just bad form.

Hi,

1.School is the place where we learn.
2.School is the place at which we learn.
3.School is the place which we learn at.
4.School is the place we learn at.

I think all of them are grammatically correct but not:
-School is the place which we learn.
By the way shouldn't we begin the sentence with (the)?
