a. nuclear physical articles (articles about nuclear physics)

c. literary theoretical ideas (courses in literary theory)

Are the noun phrases and the adjectives used above correct (nuclear physical, applied mathematical, literary theoretical)?

We tend to leave the nouns alone and not change them into adjective forms when we use them as adjectives the way you have.

Thus the phrases are:
a. nuclear physics articles (articles about nuclear physics)
b. applied maths (or mathematics) magazines (magazines about applied maths)
c. literary theory ideas (courses in literary theory)

I hope this helps.
